Thought Life…

Just finished a two-book series called “The Fourth Awakening”. Concept is that society is undergping the next round of enlightenment and a company (with government funding) has developed a technology to accelerate/ control it. There are some really intriguing concepts in the book, central of which is that we must release all out negative thoughts/ baggage in order to connect to the universe. Once we do this and we think positive thoughts then those things we wish for will happen.

There is a lot of new-age type stuff in this but also truth well aligned with God’s word. Key points are that we must forgive (release) and repent (stop those negative things) in order to connect with God (universe). There are numerous excellent examples that closely parallel things in my life or the lives of those around but the one that stands out the most is how our baggage from the past infiltrates or colors everything we are about. Until giving that up, we can’t really be whole and in tune with God.

This is a great reminder about the need to control my thought life. When I allow negative thinking to take foothold in my mind I diminish my potential.

About heavnstrl

I came to Christ in May of 2003 - one of those rare "later in life" conversions. I'm still learning God's plan for me as a husband, a father, and an obedient follower. I now understand that there is no being "on the fence". This blog helps me keep my focus on Christ as Lord of my life.
