I find it interesting that I seem to find many more opportunities to share my faith when traveling than with the typical day to day activities when I’m home. I just spent a couple of weeks in China and had 3 separate events that allowed me to share the importance of Christ in my life and the reasons for that. This is as many times as probably the last 6 months at home.
This makes me wonder what is different about traveling that either presents the opportunity or enables the boldness necessary to speak up. Two of these cases came in a purely social setting after work over a beer and one came during during a lunch break discussion. I think a key point is that in all three cases I was spending time with other people less familiar to me. When I’m on my home turf, probably 90% or more of my time is either by myself or with my family.
Pray: Lord, please help me to make time for spreading your good news while still respecting time with my family.
